TWR018 Poppy Ring V2 Tutorial

Just like the previous Poppy Ring tutorial, in this tutorial, you will similarly learn how to bead a flower motif with the use of Right Angle Weave using tear drop beads. But this time, there is the difference between the front and the back of the motif. At the front part of the motif; we are adding a round bead at the centre of the flower, forming the so-called stigma of a flower. At the back of the flower is where we would be attaching the ring shank to the motif.

The size of the tear drop bead that can be used for this tutorial is relatively flexible, really. This has much to do with the shape of the tear drop bead itself where the pointed tip is where the focus of the design is and this part of the bead is not much drastically different between the different sizes of tear drop bead. Therefore feel free to substitute with other sizes other than 11mm as stated here.

Tools & materials used:
  • Fishing line/monofilament/Supplemax or equivalent
  • Flower motif:
  • (5) 11mm tear drop bead
  • (1) 4mm round pearl
  • (5) 3mm Swarovski crystal bicone
  • Size 10/11/12 seed bead
  • Ring shank:
  • (19) 3mm Swarovski crystal bicone (optional-you can
substitute with seed beads and may need more if you
are making a band longer than 6cm)
  • Size 10/11/12 seed bead
